Summary
The March 1967 Beaver Beacon reported that American Central Corporation had purchased Henry Allen’s Donegal property and was beginning survey and platting work. By August, the Beacon reported broad new roads through the Donegal Bay, Font Lake, and Indian Point areas and rapidly selling properties, while noting mixed reactions to the transition.
A 2007 forum discussion preserves a later local recollection that at least one Henry Allen cabin originally stood at Donegal Bay and was moved to the south end of King’s Highway when American Central acquired and developed the former Donegal property. The recollection helps identify a possible surviving cabin, but does not establish its construction date, exact original site, or complete relocation history.
Evidence and limits
This is a newspaper development notice. It does not provide a deed, plat, permits, or completed development record.

- A later community-history discussion says a cabin on the south end of King's Highway had originally been built by Henry Allen at Donegal Bay and was moved when American Central Corporation acquired and developed the property. This is an attributed local recollection, useful for tracing surviving cabins but not a deed, construction record, survey, or complete inventory of moved structures.forum · www.beaverislandforum.com · 00 · t000865
