Summary

The Beaver Island District Library marked its tenth anniversary with a May 30, 1996 Peace Pole dedication, tree planting, and refreshments. The June Beacon also recounted the library’s founding committee, major gifts and township support, the donated lot, and completion of the present facility in 1989. A July follow-up said the celebration succeeded, honored Lil Gregg’s ten years on the Library Board, and recorded the Peace Pole and five new trees.

Evidence limits

This is a newspaper anniversary notice and retrospective, not a library board minute book, gift agreement, or construction record.
