Summary

In November 2012, the Beaver Island Wildlife Club asked resident and visiting firearm-season hunters to record deer observations and return surveys by early December. It also promoted voluntary checking of both bucks and does at the boat dock, Swearingen’s, or by telephone, explaining that the data would inform herd management and future doe-permit decisions.

Evidence limits

These are Wildlife Club notices describing the collection method and rationale; the archive contains no returned surveys, checked-deer total, or permit decision based on the campaign.
