Summary
The February 2008 Beaver Beacon reported that the Preservation Association of Beaver Island had obtained a $650,000 private loan and gathered approximately $300,000 in pledges while planning to open the Community Center in July. PABI also sought further funds for furnishings and equipment, planned to hire a manager, and intended to ask residents which programs would be most useful.
