Summary

The November 1958 Beaver Beacon reports that Jack Connaghan and Perry Palmer were found by the Coast Guard tender Sundew after engine trouble and fog left their 25-foot fishing boat drifting north-west of Charlevoix. The boat carried about 1,500 pounds of fish, which Connaghan later delivered to Charlevoix.

Reports that Jack Connaghan and Perry Palmer drifted in a 25-foot fishing boat carrying 1,500 pounds of fish after engine trouble about 18 miles north-west of Charlevoix. After fog delayed the search, the Coast Guard tender Sundew used radar to find them 26 miles north of Charlevoix and three miles from Skilly; Connaghan delivered the fish to Charlevoix around 1:30 a.m. It does not provide a Coast Guard case file, track, weather log, or vessel inspection.
