Summary
The June 1983 Beacon began a serial history of the Beaver Island Civic Association. Its first installment describes the organization’s stated purposes, early Medical Center campaign, first newsletter, brochure and commerce work, conservation, Fourth of July, harbor cleanup, public facilities, signs, and winter sports.
