Summary

The September 2006 issue previewed the second Beaver Island Celtic Games for September 16, and the October issue reported the outcome. About a dozen athletes competed before roughly 150 spectators. Ken Crum won the stone toss, hammer throw, and weight event; Bill Gordon won the caber toss; and Troy Drebenstedt carried the 210-pound stone 300 feet.
