Summary
During the early hours of April 16, 1963, a fire destroyed the barn and badly burned the house at the Boyle farm on Beaver Island. The May Beaver Beacon places the farm about half a mile west of McCauley’s corner and says the house was unoccupied; the fire crew could mainly prevent the flames from spreading to the woods.
