Summary
At its January 18, 2005 meeting, the Beaver Island Transportation Authority received the Corradino Group’s final ferry-system study, commissioned with Michigan Department of Transportation funding. The study drew more than 500 survey responses, reviewed passenger and vehicle trends, and recommended another boat because of freight needs and the age of the Beaver Islander.

This record summarizes the newspaper’s account of the report; it does not replace the Corradino study or establish that a new vessel was funded or built.
