Summary
Seventh- and eighth-grade BICS students organized an effort to improve the cracked basketball court behind the school. They held a bake sale at McDonough’s Market on April 18, presented the proceeds to the School Board the next day, and sought additional Sinking Fund support for picnic tables and a garbage can, with work hoped for before Island Clean-Up Day on May 17.
Evidence limits
The May Beacon describes the proposed repair effort and fundraising, not its completion or the final condition of the court.
