Summary

The September 2013 Beaver Beacon reports AT&T antenna work and Verizon 4G tower construction on Beaver Island, including removal of the original EMS guyed tower. It also says peak-summer afternoon and evening connections slowed to roughly one-fifteenth of listed DSL package speeds as local bandwidth demand outgrew the 2008 system’s capacity.

Evidence limits

The report preserves the newspaper’s observations and stated performance comparison. It is not a carrier engineering record, a speed-test dataset, or proof of completed island-wide 4G coverage.
