Summary

In March 2015, the Little Traverse Conservancy announced that two Beaver Island nest boxes, at Little Sand Bay and Barney’s Lake, were part of an American Kestrel Partnership. It sought weekly volunteer monitoring and later reported that a Barney’s Lake monitor had been found, followed by spring kestrel sightings.

Evidence limits

The forum documents the recruitment effort and reported sightings, but does not preserve monitoring data or establish full-season participation. The later 2016 Little Sand Bay recruitment is treated as a separate iteration, not proof that the 2015 monitoring continued unchanged.
