The October 2011 Beacon profiles Carl Hartman and his Catalina 25, Acceptance. Although the boat’s home port was Mackinac Island, Hartman spent much of the summer anchored in Paradise Bay, moving toward the public beach when a southwest gale was expected. The article says Acceptance departed for winter storage in Mackinaw City on September 12 and was expected to return the following June.
